Two Robberies in Slidell Over the Weekend

One suspect is in custody and another is at large after two separate robberies at Slidell area gas stations over the weekend.
St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Office deputies responded early Sunday morning (October 8, 2017) to the report of an armed robbery at a service station on Brownswitch Road. The cashier advised a female entered the store, implied she had a firearm, demanded money and fled in a silver Acura with an undisclosed amount of cash. Deputies soon located the vehicle, initiated a traffic stop, recovered the stolen cash and arrested Angelica Mims (26) of Slidell on the charge of Armed Robbery and Resisting an Officer.
Deputies responded Sunday night to a second armed robbery, this one at a gas station on Highway 11. The cashier reported she was robbed at gunpoint by a man in a ski mask. The black male suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and is still at large. Anyone with information related to this incident, please contact Detective Jason Dammon at 985-726-7833.
