Pearl River Man Accused of Child Molestation

The Pearl River Police Department reported today (October 11, 2017) that Michael Pippins was arrested last month on the charge of Aggravated Crimes Against Nature (victim under 13 years old) following a lengthy investigation. Pearl River Detectives Steven Gaudet Jr. and Tommy Benasco worked with the Child Advocacy Center to obtain a forensic interview of the child victim.
Pearl River Police Chief Jennings said, "Betrayal is too kind a word to describe any situation in which a trusted adult puts a small child through a living nightmare for years, and yet this is what has happened . . . there isn't a sympathetic soul here in Saint Tammany for this kind of evil".
