Billie Ann Corkern
June 21, 1930 - October 28, 2017


Billie Ann Corkern, age 87, passed away on oct. 28, 2017 at The Care Center in Baton Rouge La. She is a former resident of Bogalusa La. She was co-owner of Bogalusa Home Supermarket #1, Billie's Snowball Stand, and loved to cook and bake. She was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church here in Bogalusa La.
She is survived by two sons, Keith Corkern "Annette" of Pride La., and Benny Corkern "Toni" of Denham Springs La. One daughter, Belinda Alt "Gordon" of St. Louis MO. One sister Clara Jo Beaushaw "Leonard" of Franklinton La. Seven grandchildren and seven great grand- children, and one great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband H.B. Corkern Jr., parents William and Clara Davenport, sisters, Dorothy Rondgey, and Ann Bell Larson, and a grandson Blake Corkern.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday Nov. 1, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Bogalusa La beginning at 9 a.m. until time for services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial gardens. Rev. Joe Arthur will officiate.
