Barbara Waters Godsey
April 16, 1950 - October 23, 2017


BARBARA WATERS GODSEY, age 67 and a resident of Franklinton, died at 10:54 pm Monday October 23, 2017 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. Barbara was a native of New Orleans who lived in several areas around south Louisiana through the years, before moving to Washington Parish in 2012. She attended First Baptist Church of Franklinton where she was active in the Circle of Joy women’s Sunday school class and cared deeply for her classmates and church family. Barbara was a former Certified Nursing Assistant who worked in different locations throughout the Northshore. She enjoyed crocheting but her favorite pastime was watching her great-grandchildren and spending time with her family.
Survived by: 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Jason Panvelle and Ginger Accardo Panvelle, Aaron Panvelle and Cindi Almack Panvelle; Grandchildren: Caitlin Panvelle, Gage Panvelle, Zachary Panvelle, Mason Panvelle, Jenna Panvelle; Great-grandchildren: Jace Panvelle Becnel, Delia Panvelle; Sister: Peggy Morvant; Uncle: Robert Waters
She was preceded in death by husbands Allen Breland and Jimmie Godsey, her parents Ralph H. Waters and Margaret Desemar Waters and a sister Susan Waters Marshall.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at First Baptist Church of Franklinton on Saturday October 28th. Visitation will begin at 12 pm followed by the service at 1 pm with Rev. Paul Watts and Rev. Dale Parker officiating.
