Richard Earl Rester
January 8, 1946 - October 2, 2017
Richard Earl Rester, age 71 and a resident of Bogalusa, passed away October 2, 2017 at his home. He was a U. S. Army Veteran .
He is survived by his wife Sandra Tynes Rester. His son T. J. Rester, daughters Kersan Gothard, Jamie Robertson, and Dory Rester. Brothers Rev. Charles Raymond Rester, and Ray Rester. Sisters Jane Creel, Jeanette Polezack, Dianna Sandifer, and Tammy Creel. Thirteen grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by daughters Susan Bishop, and Cassie Rester. His father Arthur Rester and mother Maudie Patterson Roberts. Brothers David, Hubert, Jerry, and Tommy Rester.
Visitation will be held on Saturday Oct. 7, 2017 in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time for service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Veterans Section of Ponemah Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Magic City Post #24 of The American Legion. Rev. Joseph Porter and Rev. Charles Ray Creel will officiate.
