The Lord saw that you were growing weary and tired. So the death angel silently came to give you rest. Sister Jeffa Peters was born April 21, 1929 to the late Green and Martha Brown. On October 19, 2017 sister Jeffa gave up her earthly home for her heavenly mansion at the age of 88, at her home.
She was preceded in death, by her mother, Martha Brown; father Green Brown; sister, Betsy Mae Brown; her husband, Alex Peters; daughter, Julie Ann Peters Harron; five sons, Kelly Peters, Elmer Tuggle, Jr., Alex Ray Peters, James Brown and Ronald Peters.
She leaves to cherish her memories, four sons, Donell (Sabrina) Peters of Angie, LA, Burnell Peters of Bogalusa, LA, Johnny (Sherry) Mikell of Columbia, MS, and Rev. Charles Magee of Baton Rouge, LA; five daughters, Mary Dee Anderson of Fayetteville, N.C. , Alice Fay (Willie) Alexander of Angie, LA, Demetric Warren, Penn Sue (Earl) Jackson, Flora Jean (Thomas) Ezell, all of Columbia, MS; a special daughter, Latta Herrin of Sandy Hook, MS a best friend, Zadie Mae Spikes of Angie, LA; thirty four grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Jessie Mae Magee of Angie, LA; brother-in-law, Marshall (Zella) Peters of Moss Point, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa from 2:00PM – 6:00PM.
Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 12 noon at Ford Chapel Missionary Baptist Church – Sandy Hook, MS with Rev. Archie McGowan – Pastor Officiating. Interment – Ford Chapel Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa in charge of arrangements.
