FPD Hosting Open Range Day (Sight in Your Rifle)

The Franklinton Police Department will be hosting an open range day beginning at noon Saturday, October 14, 2017. Hunters will be offered the opportunity to sight in their hunting rifles at 100 yards. Louisiana P.O.S.T Firearms Instructors will be on hand as well as NRA and Hunter Safety Instructors.
Participants are required to wear safety glasses and hearing protection. You will need to provide your own firearm, ammunition and targets.Youth participants under the age of 17 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
ALL firearms will be checked by the range safety officer prior to firing. Weapons found to be a safety hazard will not be allowed to fire. Please limit one (1) rifle per shooter.
The Franklinton Police Department Shooting Range is located on Boat Ramp Rd. near the softball and soccer fields.
