Election Results for Washington, St. Tammany, and Tangipahoa

WASHINGTON AND ST. TAMMANY PARISHES: Alan Zaunbrecher won over Reginald Laurent 62% to 38% in a race for District Judge, Division H. The race for District Judge, Division E was much closer with each getting a statistical 50%. However, with 100% precincts reporting, Billy Burris received 16277 votes and Jay Adair received 15985.
WASHINGTON PARISH: The Washington Parish Fire District 2 renewal has been approved with 57% and the Washington Parish Fire District 8 renewal has been approved with 66%.
ST. TAMMANY PARISH: In the State Representative District 77 race, Rob Maness (REP) with 37% appears to be in a runoff with Mark Wright (REP) with 25%. Lisa Ward received 21% and Casey Revere received 18%. The runoff election will be held November 18, 2017.
Also in St. Tammany Parish, Council Member, District 2: Dave Fitzgerald (REP) with 70% of the vote has won the seat. Joe Freeman (DEM.) received 18%, Marvin Lawson (NOPTY) received 3%, and Clark Taylor (IND) received 9%. St. Tammany Fire District 8, Proposition 1: The 9.75 mil renewal was approved 62% to 38%. St. Tammany Fire District 8, Proposition 1: The 9.80 mil renewal was approve 61% to 39%. St. Tammany Fire District 8, Proposition 1: The 14.63 mil renewal was approved 59% to 41%. St. Tammany Fire District 12, Proposition 1: The 10 mil renewal was approved 67% to 37%.
TANGIPAHOA PARISH: For Clerk of Court, Gary Stanga has won over Arden Wells 79% to 21%.In the race for Justice of the Peace, Ward 2: Vickie Blades has won with 69% of the vote. Juandalynn Brumfield received 20% and Margie Simmons received 11%.
