Obituary

Denyse M. Galloway
January 6, 1952 - September 7, 2017



Denyse Galloway passed away on the morning of September 7th, 2017 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. She was born in Bogalusa, La, on January 6th, 1952, raised in Varnado, La, and lived all of her adult life in Bogalusa, where she enjoyed a 40+ year career in nursing and respiratory therapy.
Denyse is survived by her husband, Jerry R. (Two Two) Galloway II; two sons, James M. (Matt) Parker and Jerry R. (Trey) Galloway III; two daughter -in-laws, Erika Parker (Matt) and Morgan Freeman (Trey); four grandchildren, Zoey Galloway (Trey), Gunnar Parker (Matt), Kate Parker (Matt), and Kade Galloway (Trey); one brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Mary McClendon; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan and Kevin Black; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Samantha Galloway; a niece Claire Galloway, and a very special nephew, Noah Black. Denyse is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins, whom she spoke of often and with great fondness.
Denyse was preceded in death by her parents, David O. and Juanita K. McClendon, both of Varnado, La.
A memorial service will be held for Denyse at 6:30pm on Thursday, September 14th, 2017, at Lee’s Creek Baptist Church, in Bogalusa.
Denyse requested that donations be made to the Bogalusa Animal Shelter in lieu of flowers.
