Veronica Causey
September 17, 1958 - September 22, 2017

Veronica Causey was born on September 17, 1958 in Bogalusa, LA. The fourth of five children born to the late Edgar Causey, Jr. and Mary L. Causey.
Veronica was educated in the Washington Parish Public Schools system. She graduated from Franklinton High School in 1976 and she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. in 1980.
Veronica worked as an elementary school teacher at the following schools: Franklinton Elementary, New Orleans Private School-St. Joseph Academy and St. Leo The Great. Veronica’s last employment was with J.K. Haynes Charter School, Baton Rouge, LA. She always believed that teaching was not her job, but her calling.
After her health started failing, Veronica was called to rest from St. Tammany Hospital on Friday, September 22, 2017.
She is survived and sadly missed by her beloved mother, Mary R. Causey; (4) siblings, Waver Causey of Baton Rouge, LA; James Causey, Larry (Stephanie) Causey of Franklinton, LA and Carolyn C. Peters of Elkhart, IN, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Edgar Causey, Jr.
Visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2017 from 10:00 AM with the funeral following at 11:00AM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home - 2000 Washington Street, Franklinton, LA with Pastor Cecealine Tate, Officiating.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton is in charge of arrangements.
