Rose Butler
October 03, 1933 - September 04, 2017

Rose Butler, age 83, transitioned into eternity peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2017, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, LA. She was born October 3, 1933 in Bogalusa, LA to Kelly and Neolia (Watson) Manning. She was a product of Central Memorial High School. Rose married Mizell Butler in Achorage, Alaska in 1951. She relocated to Bogalusa, in 1955.
Rose truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends. Rose is survived by one son, Adrian Butler of Bogalusa, LA; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Tressie 9John) Williams of Milwaukee, WI; two brothers, Arnold Manning of Bogalusa, La, Raymond Manning of Long Beach, CA; and extended family members including stepchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and devoted friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mizell Butler; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Kelly and Neolia (Watson) Manning; four children, Linda Butler, Jeanette Butler Sampson, Michael Butler and Larry Charles Butler; three step brothers, Robert, Charles, and Melvin Manning; two sisters, Helen Hall and Diane Manning.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Mama Rose touched are invited to attend her Homegoing Celebration at Crain & Sons Funeral Home, 809 E. Third Street, Bogalusa, LA at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2017 with Elder Robert Peters officiating. Visitation wiil be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Crain & Sons Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00 PM- 6:00 P.M. Internment in the Bogalusa Cemetery
Crain & Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa, LA in charge of arrangements.
