Bogalusa Police Stop Swaying Vehicle – Find Meth, Crack, & More

Early Wednesday (September 6, 2017) morning, a Bogalusa Poice Department officer attempted to stop a vehicle after observing the vehicle turn without using a turn signal and the vehicle swaying from one side of the road to the other. The driver would not stop until a road block was initiated by other officers at the intersection of Sabine and Lucerne streets.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Anthony J. Mitchell (37) of Bogalusa and the passenger was identified as Ashley M. Bordelon (28) of Monroe. Verbal consent was obtained to search the vehicle. Inside a tin container in plain view on the seat, officers found a small bag of crystal methamphetamine, one piece of crack cocaine, a crack pipe and two tablets that were later identified as Xanax/Alprazolam.
Mitchell was arrested on the charges of Turn Signal Required, Improper Lane Usage, Careless Operation, Suspended Drivers License, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Xanax, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled  Dangerous Substance in a Drug Free Zone. Bordelon was arrested on the charges of Possession of Cocaine, Possession of  Methamphetamine, Possession of Xanax, Possession Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug Free Zone.
