Margarite Crawford Brooks Fontenot, a resident of Kentwood, she passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Landmark Nursing Home in Hammond. She was born March 20, 1933 in Kentwood and was 84 years of age.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Peggy Brooks Day and husband, Dennis, Prairieville, Patsy Brooks Whitehead and husband, Mike, Kentwood, and Eria Jean Brooks Parker and husband, Gary, Franklinton; 5 grandchildren, Daphne Day Sanders and husband, David, Dennis Bradley Day, Amy Day Fontenot, Roger Temple and wife, Misty, Rebecca Temple Simmons and husband, John; 13 great-grandchildren, Justin Sanders and fiancé, Sarah, Dustin Sanders and wife, Taylor, Brandy Sanders, Wesley Sanders, Kade Ducote, Gavin Fontenot, Brance Day, Jaden and Ethan Temple, Brody, Hannah, Abbi and Kaitlyn Simmons.
Preceded in death by her husband, Rogers Fontenot; parents, Willie K. and Geneva Wall Crawford.
Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017. Services conducted by Rev. Eric Catha. Interment Bolivar Cemetery, Bolivar.
