Waylon Watson
June 19, 1977 - August 4, 2017



WAYLON WATSON, AGE 40 and a resident of Franklinton died Friday August 4, 2017. He was an offshore worker for Island Operating with 22 years of service. Waylon loved riding on the river, hunting and fishing and cooking outdoors for everyone to enjoy, either Bar-B-Q, boiling crawfish, frying fish that he had caught or boiling peanuts. He was a “true to his word” people person that cared deeply for his family and friends. Waylon was always quick to meet the needs of others and cherished the time spent with his children.
Survived by: Parents: Rocky and Linda Watson of Franklinton; Fiance’: Aimee Bankston of Franklinton; 2 Sons: Wyatt Lane Watson, John Michael Knight; Daughter: Harlie Danielle Knight; 2 Brothers: Terry Lane Watson, Jason Hymel both of Franklinton; Sister: Amanda Kay Watson of Franklinton; Uncle and Aunts: Danny and Janet Carter, Suzette Carter; Cousin: Joe Carter; Also numerous other family members and many friends.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday August 9th from 5 pm until 10 pm and after 9 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Glynn Erwin and Rev. Jimmy Oalman officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
