Murder suspect Stephen Antonio Brown (38) surrendered Friday (August 4, 2017) to Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Detectives. Brown has been booked with Second Degree murder as well as numerous other unrelated charges. This case is still active and the investigation is on-going. Additional charges and arrests may be forthcomingBrown was identified as the primary suspect in the July 31, 2017 shooting death of Leroy T. Sims (19) in Hammond. According to TPSO, illegal drug activity is at the source of the motive in this case.
