Last night (August 7, 2017) Mandeville Police Detectives arrested Ronald Douglas Moore, Jr. (25) of Lacombe for Saturday night’s rape of a 53 year-old female victim. Moore was charged with 1st Degree Rape, Aggravated Burglary and Attempted 1st Degree Murder. Moore is currently on probation for prior burglary and drug charges.
The 53 year old victim (who was driven to the hospital by a friend) reported that she was asleep on her living room sofa when she was awoken by a white male standing over her and rubbing on her body. The victim stated that she was overpowered by the subject, beaten and then raped for an extended period of time. Before leaving, the suspect reportedly took the victim’s ID and threatened to kill her if she reported the rape.
