BPD and WPSO Team Up to Solve 5 Burglaries

Earlier this week, Washington Parish Sheriff Department Detective's were interviewing Eric
Butler (31) of Bogalusa for business burglaries in Washington Parish. Butler confessed that he, along with Darnell Reed (46) of Bogalusa, had burglarized several businesses in Bogalusa. Captain Charles Helton, head of BPD's Detective Division went to the Washington Parish Jail and also interviewed Butler. Butler confessed that he and Darnell Reed burglarized the House of Seafood on South Columbia Street, the Chevron Convenience store on Marshall Richardson Road, Citi Trends on Richmond Street. and NAPA Auto Parts on Superior Avenue.
Detective Helton arrested Reed on August 2nd and Butler on August 3rd on warrants charging them with Simple Burglary (4 counts).
An additional arrest warrant will be obtained on Darnell Reed for Simple Burglary of the Jr Food Mart located on Superior Avenue.
