Bogalusa Police Finds Meth Following Police Pursuit

On Tuesday (August 8, 2017) at approximately 9:00 PM, Bogalusa Police officers were patrolling in the area of Avenue L and observed a Nissan Frontier make two turns without using a turn signal. The officers activated their emergency blue lights to initiate a traffic stop. However, the vehicle failed to stop and a police pursuit began with additional units from the Bogalusa Police Department and the Washington Parish Sheriff's Department assisting.
The vehicle turned into a driveway of a residence located in the 1300 block of W. 9th Street and stopped. The driver, identified as Shawn Fox Sr. (41) of Bogalusa got of the vehicle and threw a clear plastic bag on the ground that contained a white powdery substance. The substance in the bag was identified as  Methamphetamine.
Fox was arrested and booked on the charges of Aggravated Flight from an Officer, No Insurance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug Free Zone.
