MARLER PIERRE LEBOEUF, AGE 70 and a resident of Franklinton died Thursday afternoon July 27, 2017 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes in Terrebonne Parish but had lived in Washington Parish since 2005. Marler was a tug-boat captain for 50 years having worked for Crosby Tugs, Louisiana International Marine and others companies. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. He loved LSU Tigers football and cutting his grass. Marler enjoyed cooking Cajun food for his family and friends and also carved pirogues and made casting nets for fishing. He never met a stranger and people he knew loved his laughter and distinct accent. He was a loving husband, father and brother and he was always very proud of his children.
Survived by: His Loving Wife: Kyle Louise Leboeuf of Franklinton; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Benjamin Daniel Leboeuf of Austin, TX, Spencer James Jennings and Caytlin Jennings of Baton Rouge; Daughter and Son in law: Sharon Lee Jennings and Blane Bertrand of Lafayette; Granddaughter: Minnie Lee Leboeuf; 3 Brothers and Sisters in law: Gale and Cynthia Leboeuf, Blair and Janet Leboeuf all of Montegut, Gene Leboeuf of Bourg; Mother in law: Cleta White of Franklinton; Sister in law and Brothers in law: Sharon and Benny Victoriano of Lafitte, Howard White of Franklinton; Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene St., Franklinton) Monday July 31st from 4 pm until 7 pm. A funeral service will be held at 7 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Watts officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers are his brothers Gale, Blair and Gene, nephew and Godchild Howard, son Spencer and son in law Blane.
