John D. Cotton
March 18, 1953 - July 13, 2017


John D. Cotton was born March 18, 1953 in Warnerton, La. He was assisted during birth by a Midwife of the community. He was born to Thelma and Johnny Cotton; his parent preceded him in death. He is one of four children. He gave his life to Christ Jesus during his adult years.
He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Magee Cotton for several years. John will forever be remembered by his loving sisters Gwendolyn Ginn of Franklinton, LA and Shirley Cotton of Hammond, LA, and beloved children Amonica and Joe Sparlin of Virginia, Roland Warren, Nadia Warren, and Sookie Warren of Franklinton, La, treasured grandchildren Joseph and Jacob Sparlin, Jada and Destiny Warren, caring nephew and nieces, Bryan Baham Sr., Alvin Long Jr, Laneatrice Long, special friend Sidney Bickham, along with countless other relatives, nieces, nephews, friends and family whom were blessed to know him.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton, La.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home - with Rev. Washington E. Drake, officiating. Interment will be at Sweet Home Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton in charge of arrangements.
