Eight Arrested by TPSO and P&P at Independence

On July 11, 2017, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Street Crimes Unit, Criminal Investigations Division, and the State of Louisiana Office of Probation and Parole, executed a narcotics related search warrant at a residence in Independence. The search warrant was the result of several months of surveillance and controlled purchases of methamphetamine from the residence.
Agents secured the residence and noticed three small unattended children that were left inside a vehicle parked in front of the home. Due to finding drugs and paraphernalia at the residence, TPSO Juvenile Division responded to assist and subsequently the Department of Children and Family Services placed the children into the custody of the State. 
The search revealed quantities of Methamphetamine, syringe and needle combinations, marijuana,  prescription pills, digital scales, glass smoking pipes and numerous other items related to street level narcotics sales.
Arrested on various drug and other charges were Sherry Rahn (64), Walter Rahn (38), Christa Brady (33), Robert Granat (27), Rainee Shexnayder (24), Robert Labourdette (38), April Prine (33), and Jennifer Campo (38).
