Merry Eve Dykes Dillon
December 24, 1934 - June 18, 2017



MERRY EVE DYKES DILLON, AGE 82 and a resident of Franklinton died at 8:50 am Sunday June 18, 2017 at Riverside Medical Center. She was a 1952 graduate of Franklinton High School that enjoyed watching sporting events including LSU and the New Orleans Saints. Merry was a longtime employee of the Washington Parish Government and had retired as the Assistant Registrar of Voters. She was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother that adored all her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family.
Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Sherry Eve Dillon Stogner and William Stogner of Franklinton; 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Russell Cole Dillon and Sandra Dillon, Robin W. Dillon and Karen Dillon all of Franklinton; 7 Loving Grandchildren and Spouses: Brandy Nicole Dillon Cutrer and Raymond Cutrer of Kentwood, Katie Renee Dillon Miller and Scott Miller, Matthew Cade Dillon all of Mt. Hermon, Jessica Robin Dillon Jenkins and Barrett Jenkins, Jamie Lea Dillon Voth and Brandon Voth all of Enon, Shelly Eve Stogner, Justin Will Stogner both of Franklinton; 16 Great-grandchildren: Brady Miller, Peyton Miller, Eden Miller, Kolbi Dillon, Rafe Cutrer, Remi Cutrer, Reese Cutrer, Madison Voth, Brady Voth, Jonathon Voth, Morgan Voth, McKenzey Jenkins, Kennedy Jenkins, Kiley Jenkins, Britol Stogner, Raegan Stogner; Sister in law: Loretta Bracey of Franklinton; Also numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Willie Dillon, her parents James Dykes and Ella Alford Dykes, sister Leona Smith, brothers Lavon Dykes and Sidney Bracey.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday June 20th from 5 pm until 9 pm and after 9 am on Wednesday. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jimmy Oalman officiating. Burial will follow in the Bahm Cemetery.
