Bogalusa Traffic Stop Results in Numerous Charges

Bogalusa Police Department Public Information Officer Percy Knight reports that, on Wednesday (June 21, 2017), BPD patrol officers observed a vehicle driving in the center of the roadway. They stopped the vehicle on Superior Avenue, and the driver, Brandon Wise, was unable to produce any form of identification or proof of insurance. 
Officers observed in plain view a digital scale, which is commonly associated with the sale and purchase of illegal narcotics.  Wise was placed under arrest and, when officers conducted a pat down search of Wise's clothing, a small amount of marijuana and three pieces of suspected crack cocaine were located.  Wise also had two active attachments on him from the city of Bogalusa and an outstanding felony warrant from the Hammond Police
Department.
Wise was arrested on the following charges: Improper lane usage/Driving left of center, Turn signal required. 2nd Offense possession of Marijuana, Possession with intent to distribute cocaine, Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug free zone, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Driving while license is suspended, and Fugitive from another agency (Hammond PD).
