WPSO Deputies Recognized as Outstanding Officers

Each year, various civic and fraternal organizations in Washington Parish recognize law enforcement officers for outstanding service to the community. Recently, two organizations honored two of them.
The Bogalusa Rotary Club honored Detective Demmie Rice at a ceremony during their weekly meeting. Detective Rice specializes in cases involving child, adult and animal abuse. She is recognized as the “go to” person for these particular crimes.
Magic City Post 24 of the American Legion recognized Patrol Deputy Tyler Lindsey recently at the American Legion Hall. Deputy Lindsey handles patrol duties primarily on the western side of the parish.
Sheriff Randy Seal attended each recognition ceremony. “These two fine officers exemplify the best of the best and I would put them up against any officers in the country. They serve with the highest degree of integrity to protect each of us as we go about our daily activities and I am so grateful for their devotion to duty and honor. I appreciate both the Bogalusa Rotary Club and the American Legion for honoring these fine officers.”
