Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L responded late Sunday (May 28, 2017) evening to crash on I-10 East near Gause Blvd. That claimed the life of Gregory Lance Britt (28) of Covington.
Troopers determined that Britt was attempting to cross I-10 and was struck by a 2000 Toyota Solara driven by Briana Renae Butler (22) of Covington. Britt was killed on impact. Butler and her two passengers were properly restrained at the time of the crash and treated for minor injuries at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
Louisiana Law prohibits any pedestrian from crossing an interstate highway, except in the case of an emergency.
