St. Tammany Parish Hospital earned national recognition for patient safety from the Leapfrog Group, Healthgrades and Women’s Choice so far this year, in addition to recognition for quality and patient experience.
“Safety first and foremost is central to our core standards at St. Tammany Parish Hospital,” said Patti Ellish, president/CEO. “We are proud to be recognized nationally for safety because it affirms our commitment to create the highest quality, safest experience for our patients.”
STPH was one of 823 hospitals to receive an A for its commitment to reducing errors, infections and accidents that can harm patients from The Leapfrog Group. Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award™ recognized STPH for excellent performance in safeguarding patients from serious, potentially preventable complications during their hospital stay. The Women’s Choice Award® signified that STPH is in the top 15 percent of 3,005 U.S. hospitals for patient safety. Women’s Choice has also awarded recognition to STPH for America’s 100 Best Hospitals, Obstetrics, Heart Care, Cancer Care, Orthopedics and Patient Experience.
