Franklinton Career Criminal in Jail for Tenth Time

Antonio Dillon (33), a resident of Old Columbia Road north of Franklinton, is back in the
Washington Parish Jail for the tenth time after being arrested by Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives for the early April burglary of a residence on Old Lake Road in the Richardson area north of Franklinton. The residents there returned home April 5, 2017 to discover that a burglar had stolen numerous household goods, including a safe which contained cash and numerous personal items such as birth certificates, social security cards, vehicle titles, insurance papers and tax documents.
Fingerprints collected by detectives matched those of Dillon and he was arrested April 27, 2017 and charged with burglary, criminal damage to property, theft of firearms and being a convicted felon in possession of firearms. The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are possible.
“This career criminal has been plaguing Washington Parish far too long,” said Sheriff Randy Seal. “Now is the time for him to be vigorously prosecuted and sent to prison for a very long sentence. Every law-abiding citizen in our parish will be safer with Dillon behind bars. I congratulate our fine detectives for vigorously pursuing this matter and making the arrest.”
