Larry James Burris, Sr. was born November 13, 1943 in Clifton LA to the late George Burris and Margie Mae Burris. He departed this life on March 19, 2017 at Acadiana Management Group in Mandeville, LA.
Larry was a construction worker and was self-employed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Brenda Hart Burris of Franklinton, LA; two sons, Ricky (Angie) Burris of Mansfield, Texas and Larry (Latasha) Burris, Jr., of Franklinton, LA; two loving and devoted daughters, Jacqueline Burris Jones of Franklinton, LA and Tracy Burris of Grand Prairie, Texas; one brother, Gentris (Evelyn) Burris of Amite, LA.
He is preceded in death by his son, Reginald D. Burris, Sr., father, George Burris, mother, Margie Burris his brothers, O’Neal Burris, Anderson Burris and Tyrone Burris. His sisters, Leida White, Bessie Littleton and Renella Henderson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness.
Funeral service will be held at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Elder Washington Drake – 0fficiating. Interment – Bethel Church Cemetery, Franklinton, LA. Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton in charge of arrangements.
