Three Teens Identified in Vehicle Burglaries / Stolen State Police Equipment Recovered

Three Tangipahoa teenagers have been identified in multiple vehicles burglaries in the Madisonville area. Among the vehicles burglarized was a locked, unmarked State Police Unit, which was parked in front of a trooper’s residence. The trooper’s department-issued rifle and a small amount of K-9 training-aides were taken during the burglary. State Police recovered the stolen rifle Thursday, and St. Tammany Parish detectives, working with State Police and ATF, found the stolen training aides.
Randy Charles Purcell (17) of Ponchatoula, was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon with the assistance of Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office and booked on charges related to an aggravated burglary that occurred Wednesday morning near Ponchatoula. Detectives have also arrested Bradley Greenlee (17) of Springfield and a 16-year-old Ponchatoula boy who was booked into the Florida Parish Detention Center.
This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
