WP Council Elects Officers/Hears From Residents

The Washington Parish Council met Monday evening (January 9) and elected Reginald McMasters as Chairman and Chris Workman as Vice Chairman.  In addition to taking care of routine matters, the Council

• received a quarterly report from Beth Putenam with the LSU Ag Center (beginning 4:42 into the video)
• listened to concerns from resident Richard Magee (beginning 20:00 into the video)
• heard from a resident concerning internet options (or the lack thereof) in the parish (beginning 36:55 into the video).  
• heard a report from Parish President Richard Thomas (beginning 52:10 into the video). Public Works Director Leo Lucchesi gave an update (beginning 57:10 into the video) on the "bridge to culvert" program and a 2016 building permit summary for the parish.  Road Supervisor Donnell Merritt provided a report (beginning 1:02:00 into the video).
