TPSO Makes Arrests in Two Burglaries

On November 22, 2016, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Burglary Unit arrested Matthew Estes (white male, DOB 11/11/88) and Randall Newman (white male, DOB 12/13/88) for their involvement in two separate burglary investigations
Matthew Estes is being accused of committing a vehicle burglary in the Pumpkin Center area on October 28, 2016. Matthew Estes turned himself into law enforcement after Estes was identified via a Crime Stopper tip.  At the time of his arrest Matthew Estes confessed to his involvement in the burglary. Matthew Estes is currently on felony probation for possession of stolen property and theft.
Randall Newman was identified as possible suspect in a residential burglary which occurred in the Robert area and reported on November 21, 2016. Randall Newman was located and questioned in regards to the burglary. Randall Newman subsequently confessed to the burglary of the residence. Detectives were able to recover a piece of jewelry from the burglary that was valued at $3,000.00.
